To commission a cake, please email us at info@sebastianwildcakes.com or complete and submit the form on this page. Please let us know what date you need the cake, the design you have in mind, the number of servings required, location of delivery and, most importantly an idea of your budget. We will then come back to you as soon as possible with preliminary ideas and quotations. Please note, the minimum charge for a bespoke commission is £450.00 + delivery. We are unable to accept orders over the telephone.
Once the design and price of your cake has been agreed, to confirm your order we ask for a 50% deposit to be paid by bank transfer within 3 days. Unfortunately, as we are unable to hold a date indefinitely, your slot in the calendar will be released if payment of the deposit is not received during this time. The outstanding balance is due by bank transfer a minimum of 3 days prior to delivery.
Whilst we ask for a minimum of 2 weeks notice for all commissions, schedule-permitting we may occasionally be able to accommodate orders with a notice period of down to 1 week minimum. In such cases, a 20% 'rush' fee is added and we ask for payment in full at the time of ordering.
Delivery
Due to their extremely fragile nature, we are unable to ship our cakes and prefer to hand deliver them to the venue at which they are required. For all deliveries within Central London a flat fee of £25.00 is charged. For all other UK addresses, the cost of delivery by road or rail will be on an individual basis. Hand delivering overseas by air is possible, but with obvious limitations to a cake's design and size and with the addition of all associated costs.
In the event its requested design would make a cake too fragile/large to travel any distance or overseas, we would be happy to discuss the possibility of making it on site. This would of course require the provision of appropriate kitchen space and necessary equipment and, again, incur all related additional costs.
Please note, should you wish to collect your cake from us in Little Venice, London W2, once accepted you will assume all responsibility for its safe transportation.
Please be aware that many restaurants and party venues now charge 'cakeage' fees, particularly when a cake substitutes the ordering of a dessert. It is your responsibility both to ascertain whether such charges are applicable at your event venue and to notify the management that a cake is being delivered.
Cancellations/Refunds
In the event of a cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable except where you notify us by email at least 1 calendar month prior to the pre-agreed delivery date.
We do not take responsibility and are unable to offer any refund for a cake if damaged after it has been safely delivered, accepted and specific handling instructions provided.
We look forward to hearing from you!
